Testim Pricing

tldr: Testim stopped being a standalone purchase. The pricing page carries the Tricentis logo, publishes no numbers for any tier, and routes every conversation to Tricentis sales. The tier names, Community, Essentials, Pro, and Mobile, survive only in the FAQ; the page itself sells by product, Web, Mobile, and Salesforce. If you are evaluating Testim as a mid-priced AI testing tool, know that you are now entering an enterprise procurement motion.

Testim built its name on AI-stabilized locators: record a test, and its Smart Locators keep the test passing when selectors drift. It was one of the earliest credible AI-assisted authoring tools, and for years it sold as a self-contained product with its own sales motion.

That era ended when Tricentis acquired Testim in 2022. The pricing page reflects it. Checked on 31 July 2026, the page shows the combined Tricentis-Testim branding, lists no dollar amounts for any tier, and points buyers at a contact form or their Tricentis sales representative.

How Testim is packaged

The pricing page is organized by product, not by tier: Testim Web, Testim Mobile, and Testim Salesforce, each routing to a pricing conversation. The tier names appear in the FAQ rather than the pricing table: Community is the free plan, Essentials the entry paid tier, Pro the scale tier with more concurrency and administrative controls, and Mobile its own package.

Community is the one concrete fact in the structure. It is free, and any Testim trial reverts to it when the trial ends, which makes it the permanent evaluation path for individuals and tiny teams.

Everything else is quoted, whichever way you slice the packaging.

What the acquisition means for the price

This is the part most comparison pages have not caught up with.

Buying Testim now means buying from Tricentis. Tricentis Testim pricing follows the way enterprise testing vendors sell: annual contracts, quotes shaped by scope, and a portfolio conversation. The Tosca pricing model is the reference point, where entry pricing typically starts north of €20,000 a year and every capability is a module.

Testim almost certainly quotes below Tosca. It is the lighter product aimed at web-first teams. But the procurement path is the same, which changes the evaluation in practical ways: expect a discovery call before numbers, expect annual commitment, and expect the quote to move with your team size and run volume. Teams that picked Testim to avoid enterprise sales now get enterprise sales with it.

There is a portfolio upside. If your organization already holds a Tricentis agreement, Testim can ride an existing vendor relationship instead of a new one, and what Tricentis Tosca covers at the heavy end, Testim covers at the light end.

Hidden costs beyond the quote

Testim reduces locator maintenance; it does not remove test ownership. The tests, the triage, and the verdict on every red run stay with your engineers. Smart Locators fix one failure mode, selector drift, and leave the rest: broken flows, changed logic, test data, environment flake.

Run concurrency is the other quote lever. Recorded suites grow fast because recording is easy, and a growing suite on limited parallel runs turns into a slow pipeline. When the quote conversation happens, concurrency is the number to negotiate, not seats.

How Testim pricing compares

Against its original peers, Testim now sits in an odd spot. Self-serve AI tools publish credit-card prices. Enterprise suites publish nothing and quote high. Testim has the product weight of the first group and the sales motion of the second.

For the price of that ambiguity, alternatives are concrete: Bug0 Managed publishes its number, $2,500 a month flat, and delivers a different shape of thing entirely, with a dedicated engineer building coverage on the Passmark engine and verifying every run rather than licensing you a tool to operate. A Testim quote for a mid-sized team plus the people to run it will not land far from that figure. Run that comparison before the contract, not after.

Is Testim worth the cost?

The technology holds up. Smart Locators were the original self-healing pitch and they still work, and the Community tier means trying it costs nothing.

The purchase decision is now a Tricentis decision. If your organization is comfortable with enterprise procurement, or already inside the Tricentis portfolio, Testim is a reasonable buy at whatever the quote says. If you chose Testim specifically to stay out of that world, the acquisition removed the reason.

FAQs

How much does Testim cost?

Testim does not publish prices. Community is free, and Essentials, Pro, and Mobile are quoted through Tricentis sales on annual contracts. Expect the quote to scale with team size, run concurrency, and scope. Checked 31 July 2026.

Is Testim free?

The Community tier is. Any Testim trial reverts to Community when it ends, so individuals and small teams can use it indefinitely within its limits. Paid tiers are where concurrency, integrations, and admin controls live.

Is Testim part of Tricentis?

Yes. The pricing page carries the combined Tricentis-Testim branding and directs purchase conversations to Tricentis sales representatives. Buying Testim now means an enterprise procurement path rather than a self-serve one.

What is the difference between Testim Essentials and Pro?

Essentials is the entry paid tier for small teams. Pro adds the scale features, deeper integrations, higher concurrency, and administrative controls. Neither has a published price, so the practical difference emerges in the quote.

How does Testim pricing compare to Tricentis Tosca?

Testim quotes below Tosca, which typically starts above €20,000 a year and licenses every capability as a module. Testim is the lighter, web-first product in the same portfolio, sold through the same sales motion.
